Portion of Pridesville Road to close in Chesterfield County for pipe replacement project

RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close a section of Route 681 (Pridesville Road) between Route 656 (Amelia Avenue) and Route 360 (Patrick Henry Highway) in Amelia County on Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a pipe replacement project. The work location is between 9120 and 9200 Pridesville Road.   

Residents will be able to access their property throughout the operation.  

Through-traffic drivers should follow the posted detours:   

  • Eastbound Traffic: Travel east on Patrick Henry Highway, west on Route 656 (Amelia Avenue), back to Pridesville Road   
  • Southbound Traffic: Travel east on Amelia Avenue, west on Patrick Henry Highway, back to Pridesville Road
