Dick Woods Road to close for pipe replacements in Albemarle County

CULPEPER — The Virginia Department of Transportation will close Route 637 (Dick Woods Road) to through traffic between Route 677 (Bloomfield Road) and Route 786 (Ivy Depot Road) from Monday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 8, to replace two pipes, weather permitting.

The road will close at 9 a.m. each day and is expected to reopen at 3 p.m. daily.

During the closure, northbound drivers on Route 637 (Dick Woods Road) should turn right onto Route 677 (Bloomfield Road), then left onto Route 250 (Ivy Road), and then left to return to Dick Woods Road. Southbound drivers will follow the detour in reverse.

Drivers should use caution near the work zone and be alert.
