Traffic Alert: Detour planned for Second Street/Front Street intersection improvements in Richlands
BRISTOL - The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) advises motorists of an upcoming detour in Richlands September 8 - 22 due to the intersection improvement project at Second Street and Front Street.
Crews are currently working on a roadway realignment along Route 460 Business (Front Street) and Second Street. The improvements are designed to enhance traffic flow and increase safety for motorists in the area.
During the detour, motorists traveling along Kents Ridge Road and Front Street will be directed to use Second Street and turn onto Floyd Avenue to reconnect with Front Street.
Drivers should stay alert to detour signs, message boards, and construction crews throughout the work zone.
