Portion of Buckingham Street in Chesterfield to close for pipe replacement project
RICHMOND – Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close a section of Route 1506 (Buckingham Street) between the addresses of 12409 and 12320 in Chesterfield County for a pipe replacement project. Daytime closures will take place on Sept. 3 and 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The road will be reopened each afternoon, and homeowners will maintain access to their properties throughout the operation. Through-traffic drivers should follow the posted detours.
- Southbound Traffic: Travel north on Buckingham Street and east on Route 1507 (Shop Street) to Route 144 (Harrowgate Road).
- Northbound Traffic: Travel north on Harrowgate Road and west on Shop Street to Buckingham Street.
